Hi, I’m Rachel.

I'm a Los Angeles-based Pilates teacher with 12 years of experience and over 500 hours of training. My approach comes from lived experience as much as education — more on that below.

I specialize in hypermobility

I specialize in working with clients who have hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). After my own experience discovering Pilates as a pain-free way to move, I’ve built a teaching approach that prioritizes stability, control, and long-term joint health—not pushing flexibility for flexibility’s sake. Sessions focus on building strength in end ranges, improving proprioception, and creating sustainable movement patterns that support daily life. Every client is met where they are, with thoughtful progressions, clear education, and a deep respect for the nervous system so movement feels supportive, not overwhelming.

My Approach

Educational

With over a decade of teaching experience, my work is grounded in continual learning. Each session draws from that depth of knowledge, helping you feel better while gaining a clearer understanding of how your body moves and functions.

Encouraging

"Life is hard enough as it is. Movement shouldn't add to that. My sessions are built around making you feel supported and seen — because that matters just as much as getting stronger."

Intentional

For me, being intentional means not only focusing on form, but also thoughtfully structuring each session so the exercises work together in a way that is both safe and highly effective. Every session is tailored to where you are that day.

  • "Rachel helped me grow so much in skill, but also in knowledge of my body. I had taken Pilates before, but her attention to my posture and form gave me an entirely new perspective on my workouts."

  • "Rachel is simply the best! I look forward to our sessions each week and always feel like she truly listens to my objectives without judgment."

  • "She brings energy, empathy, and most of all, her wisdom to every class."

  • "I started at 70 and I don’t look back. I’m a few months away from 80 and I am so happy I do these sessions…still twice a week. I have great posture, a great figure (so I say), and I feel great. Thank you Rachel!!"

  • "Rachel has a remarkable ability to pick up on your cues, your aches and pains, and your moods. She pays attention to every detail, and she tailors every workout to the day's needs."

  • "A year later, I feel healthier and stronger. Aches and pains or poor blood circulation becoming less and less of an issue."

  • "Rachel is an amazing and talented, knowledgeable and creative instructor and she challenges me in a different way every week."

  • "Before Rachel, I dreaded training sessions. In the hour leading up to and during. I watched the clock, waiting for them to end. Not with Rachel."

  • "Every day I take Pilates with Rachel is a day I start with a huge smile and a positive attitude, ready for whatever comes my way."
